New BF Goodrich A/T K/O's on PRG Lift

I just got my new kicks on and I like them alot. The pictures dont really do them much justice, they look better in person. The tires were around $1000 for everything. The lift is $200

Sweet man, looks great. I just got new shoes for my truck last week too. Same tires. Just gotta take it back to have it aligned a slight touch better. The normal steering wheel position of 12 O'clock is just a hair towards 11 O'clock. Not too bad really, but I want it perfect.

Don't mean to step on vw1972bugs post,....
mine does not have a lift, and the tires do not rub at all. They are stock size 18's for my SE 4x4. But they ride and seem and look bigger.

The dodge ram with the stock 20's from the factory come with 275/60/R20 they are 33" in diameter and the wheel and tire combo weighs 82 lbs. They are some heavy azz stock wheels. How tall in inches are those tires and what kind of gear ratios are u guys running?

nice tires....they look great.

What is the treadwear rating on that size...tirerack.com doesn't have all the specs.

TIA

Re: New BF Goodrich A/T K/O's on PRG Lift

I think they are wider than the stock 18" tires. 285mm to 265mm (about 1 inch)

I just ordered some! How do you two guys like them??

Re: New BF Goodrich A/T K/O's on PRG Lift

I love mine. When I had the GF drive by me in the truck a few weeks ago (to gauge the sound of them from outside the truck), they sounded like they were really gripping the road. Not a mudder whine, but a grab and release of the pavement sound. When I floor it from a standing stop they really grip good. But I can still break them loose on a turn and punch it. Seem pretty good in the rain too.
When I get in the grass and floor it it tears out the grass, the roots, and about 2-3 inches of soil. Alot more damage to the turf than the Goodyears were. Seem better off road than the BFG's that came on my two Frontier 4x4's and our old Xterra. Much better footing off road, good in the sand too than the Goodyears, obviously.
When I go up north for Christmas (DC and RI) I will feel much better when/if it snows. Supposed to be really good in the snow. Hard to test that here.
I like the look of them to. Looks like the tires have teeth when I go out to the truck everyday at work or home. But not too over the top.

Re: New BF Goodrich A/T K/O's on PRG Lift

Well, I was goiing to sell the stock 18s, but I think I'll put the BF KO's
on... Looks good!!

Just put on 275/70/17 Cooper M+S on MB motoring predetors for the winter
they are really soft, you can really feel it under acceleration.. but the stick
to the ice and snow like glue!

guess I have to start saving for the KO's in the spring...
