Drain tubes for Retrax?

I installed my new Retrax over the weekend and would like to know what everyone else is doing for the canister drain tubes. The manual is calling for two 1/2" holes to be drilled in the bottom or back of the bed. Obviously I'm not up for drilling holes in my baby, so I'm just wondering what my alternatives are.

As a side note, the cover fits together very well and looks and works GREAT! Pretty darn happy with it.

I'm not too hip on the idea of drilling holes in my baby either but I will. I had a Retrax on my Frontier and there were holes in the bed already and the drain tubes kept all the water out of the bed. The problem is that if you open the cover when it's wet and don't have drain tubes, the water has nowhere to go but into the canister and then, into the bed.

Yeah, I think it's pretty tarded that we don't have drain holes in ours. I know the water drains out through the seam where the floor and the front of the bed meets, but I need some holes!

I have my tubes running into the bed! I'll not drill any holes. The water that dripps out of those tubes is very little. Even if there is water, the bed is sprayed and sealed.

Had mine installed at the factory, and they put the drain tubes running through the front of the box between the box and the cab. It's not coming off anytime soon, so it doesn't bother me.

I put mine through the drain slot in the front of the bed. It mashes down the tube a bit, but drains fine. I ran a wide open water hose on the the closed cover to make sure the drains would keep up, and it did.

You can also open up the drain slot slightly if you need to.

You mean you mashed the tube throught that tiny seam at the bottom of the bed against the cab wall?
