AMSOIL Ea Oil Filters

Has anybody tried these yet? They have a change interval listed at 25k (or one year.) The price seems reasonable...

If this has been posted before, my apoligies (searches for amsoil oil filter, return a ton of results.)

AMSOIL Ea Oil Filter

Extended Service Intervals
AMSOIL EaO Filters are guaranteed for 25,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first, when used in conjunction with AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oil in gasoline and diesel vehicles in normal service, 15,000 miles for severe service. This coincides
with the AMSOIL 25,000-mile/one year motor oil drain interval, adding even more convenience for motorists by consolidating routine maintenance.

EaO Filters are recommended for use up to two times longer than OEM recommendations for commercial units, fleets and RVs using diesel fueled engines, not to exceed 60,000 miles for heavy-duty on-highway diesel applications.

I use the SDF filters and change out at 10,000 miles and run the oil to 20k. These sound like the way to go if you put on huge miles in a year. Due to the gas price increase I now have a gas miezer that I drive to work and do not plan on putting on the 25,000 miles a year that would make these worth while, but if the cost is competive with the SDF filters I will consider based on the improved filtration.

Can I still purchase AMSOIL SDF Filters?

AMSOIL SDF Filters will be available while supplies last.

Why are the SDF Filters being phased out?

AMSOIL is continually searching for new and innovative technologies to enhance its product line. With the advent of the nanofiber filtration media, AMSOIL desired to be on the cutting edge and provide the most innovative oil filter technology in the auto/light truck market.

Looks like you may not have a choice given some time...

I am not sure what the SDF filters cost but from what I could find regarding the Ea they look to be in the $16 range.

I would not use them they have different specs than the normal amsoil filter (other than cange intervals). They both take in and release the oil at higher pressure than the normal filters I do not think these woudl work well with the titan at all.

edit: N/M I think I was thinking about something else, a higher capacity filter or something.
