Went to Dealer today....

Went to dealer to get a plastic washer put on the stock bed liner cause one was missing and dealer told me that it came from the factory without it and there's nothing they can do.Also told me that the slack on the right cable on tailgate is normal for the late model 05's.Told me that they can't replace any part of the gas nozzle to tank(mine overflows when below 1/4 tank)unless the CEL comes on.They also said that I wait till below 1/4,bring it in and they will try to duplicate it at my expense. What should I do?I tried to look for the thread about the gas but couldn't find it anywhere. Please help? This dealership is WALSER NISSAN in BURNSVILLE,MN.

I can understand how you feel. I've got the same problem when i put gas in mine but have not been to the dealer about it. I saw a thread about it but i don't think anybody has got thier's fixed and shared what the problem is. I do know that if i took my truck to my dealer(below a 1/4 tank) they could duplicate the problem in 2 seconds.

I know that gas will spill out when below 1/4,but I'm not gonna waste gas going there and then pump gallons at my expense on their floor. They're probably gonna ask me to clean that up too after I'm done. And they said there was no garantee that they will fix it cause they have to call NISSAN to see if they will fix that.

MIssing plastic screws in bedliner, replaced without hesitation. I have had my truck a year and a half (18k miles) and it just did the gas overflow thing.

There's a couple dealers that I can go to.For some stupid reason I decided to go to the dealer where I bought the truck from. The sales dept was helpful but the service dept was something else.I forgot that they were 2 different dept. But I'll get this fixed from one of these damn dealers.
I guess when it comes out of dealer pocket, they try to avoid the fix.But if you pay, they will kiss the ground you walk on.Why is that? Are they that lazy or is that what they're taught to do?No offense to mechanics.I fix my own stuff but when it's under warantee,it's their job.

when i was thinking about buying a titan feldmann imports in bloomington was really good to me. they seem to have their stuff together better than walser, and you get a free hand car wash and vacuum with every service
can't hurt to give them a call and see what they say. you can email Angela Martin (AngelaM(at)feldmannimports.com) and she will probably point you in the right direction. tell her josh leonard sent you

good luck.

Appreciate the help.I'll give feldmann a call and see what they can do.Walser has good sales rep but the service side is something else.I wonder if I can go to Walser and hold up a sign that reads "Bad Service,Do Not Enter"?I think as long as I'm not on their property, they can't do anything, right?

I lost some cowl clips when I was installing heated wipers and the dealer gave me replacements, no charge, no hesitation.

In mn, I found out that the dealers get jack for warranty work. They will try to miscode the work so the warranty won;t be cover and the owner will pay up. Good luck. I bought my truck from fieldman's but I never take to them for work unless I really need to. Just more excuse for them to gripe about the mods. Do you know what dealer is worse then Walser??? Kline is the worse place....personal experience from past cars that I still own...
