Washed the truck today...

For the first time since June 18th, I washed the truck today. It took so long that the sun was setting as I was drying it off and I didn't even get to wax it or clean the inside...
Let's just say that 13,500 miles worth of brake dust is a PITA to get off but straight Simple Green worked well.
Now I see why I wait almost 5 months to wash my vehicles...

You think that's bad... I work as an auto-detailer part of the year, and my truck is only washed about once every two months! Sure doesn't look good to pull up to a customer's house with mud on your doors . Thing is I'm at school (college) most of the time and I have no access to a hose until I go home!

That's acceptable in your case.

do you ever run it through one of those touchless washes? i've already washed my titan as many times (2) as i did my frontier in the year that i owned it. hell, it was silver, it never really looked all that dirty except for the wheels. it didn't have any chrome on it so i figured screw it.

I wash mine once a week. Takes half an hour, 50 minutes if I wax. Worth it so I don't have to punish myself for a day, keeps the paint nice, and looks good.

I've got 13,500 miles on it in less than 5 months...that is why it is taking sooo long.
I once said that I was going to run it through the car wash but the wife b!tched me out about buying all the car car prods at Wal-Mart when I bought it so I never took it.
Didn't want to leave her a widow to the truck on Saturday since I'm away from home 12 hours a day during the week (no time to wash it during the week)
