I doubt you’ll get that lucky. First gas prices have dropped to pre-Katrina levels & second by cutting 06 production so early in the model cycle, it will allow Nissan to manage their inventory levels if the lower gas prices don’t spur sales.

I cant believe that Nissan doesnt seem to take into consideration that all the big 3 companies did that employee discounting and that took a big bite out of their sales. They were on target until all that happend. Heck dont they relize why the big 3 had to do that in the first place? Because of the Tundra and the Titan. DUUUU No brainer. Nissan should not give up that easily. They were hurting the big 3 BAD and still are! I hope Honda quits building those ugly trucks, Besides Honda over prices everything they have anyway. They love their vehicles more than the customers do. I told them to keep their honda mini van when I bought my sienna and they can keep that BRAT looking truck wannabe for themselves to! (Wow I cant believe I said all that in one breath)

What I thought was interesting was a 135 day supply vs industry standard 60 days. This backlog may kick off some better year end incentives. I think overall Nissan is doing very well.

I do not think Nissan is the reason the Big 3 started the employee pricing...I think more to do with economy/gas prices etc. and their overpriced trucks to boot. The Titan is a speck on the windshield to Ford and Chevy. Nissan may grow in this respect down the road (although with recent sales data that's not looking good either), but that is doubtful. It's going to take more than the Titan to break into Ford and Chevy Loyalty.

We will see.....with the new, actually full sized Tundra coming out soon....they can put a hurtin on the big 3.

Plus if Nissan expands there line of trucks to offer a HD model......

The funny thing about the rebates is that if the trucks werent overpriced by $6-7k they wouldn't have to give all those rebates. I have people all the time saying "Nice truck, that thing must of cost you $35k". To which I happily reply "Nope $27k, but thanks for the compliment!"

As for my TITAN, it's staying with me.
