Low Tire Pressure Light

I have had recurring problems with the Low Tire Pressure Indicator light coming on without cause. I have checked the tire pressure several times and it is always right on 35 lbs. It seems to come on when a cold front moves through and stays on for several days before finally going out. Is this going to take a trip to the dealer?
Thanks for any comments.

When the cold front comes in the tire pressure drops. Always set pressure when tires are cold (35 or more).

My pressure sensor came on as soon as I started the truck yesterday morning and I thought it was due to the cold weather also. I looked at all the tires and they looked good so I continued to work. After work the light was still on so I stop at the base gas station to check the pressure and sure enough I had 3 good tires around 45psi I usually run them about 60psi 5 short of max. The 4th was at about 28psi it didnt look low at all but I am glad that light stayed on or I would have never checked the pressure and went on thinking that it was just the cold air. The funny part is I just had the sensor put in my after market rims last saturday.

Had truck for 3 rd day when cold front came thru thought same thing even got the audio beep for it. (Scare d crap outa me honestly, "just signed my life away on this truck and it going to blow up?!" morning is not best time for me) Any how when realized what it was figure ahh it will go away as drive truck thru day .. did not go away. anyhow hooked up protable air comp to it guage read about 36 on all but one it was gnats wing below 35. so aired em up up and away we went, no problems since then. Now I want to know if I can hook up osme sorta readout to give individule tire pressure without having nav pacakage.. sensors are built into Factory wheels and can be palced on non factory right.. I want more than an idiot light.

I've had the re-occuring problem of the tire pressure idiot light since day one. The service writer at the dealership said, and I quote..."cheap piece of crap"....and then went into a long story about the sending units on the valve stems and the recievers on the chassis, but I suffer from excessive A.D.D. and failed to really pay attention. Although I did nod my head the whole time he was yakking....but anyway, I still have the occational tire pressure light comming on.

Mine didn't start coming in until I rotated my tires. Now my spare tire has a sensor and the left rear tire doesn't.

Mine go off here in albuquerque anytime there's a quick drop in pressure. Service writer said to use 37-38 psi. I do that doing the winter time and havn't had any problems since. If the light goes off without the the audio chime than its probably a bad sensor. Dealer can check for a bad sensor in less the 5 minutes. Just my .02 cents

I had Nitto's until today and Max cold was 65psi. Now I have Cooper STT mud tires and Max is 50psi cold.
