10,000 miles - report

I have put 10,000 miles on my 05 LE Crew Cab. 4x4, off-road, DVD, Nav, XM. I really love the truck and it's the perfect vehicle for me as I use the bed almost every day for hauling stuff, it's roomy and luxurious, and it has great safety feature (side air) for kids. I average about 14-mpg. Can't wait till we get some snow so I can test it in that.

I 've had some problems with it though:

* I had the break problem at less than 3000 miles. They were replaced and everything seems fine now.
* The passenger front seat belt wasn't sealed properly - replaced by service.
* My gas cap tie fell apart. Replaced by the service department.
* The bolts on the tailgate ties came loose this week. I use the tailgate every day. Just tightened them myself.
* I have a persistent creak coming from the front of the dash in the area where the little black bobble is. I think it's a light sensor. It goes away if I put a little pressure on it with my finger. The service dept. has been unable to make it got away. This is the single most annoying thing. If anybody knows a fix for this I'd like to know.
* I have a very bad noise in the suroof area at about 65mph very rarely. Its going to be difficult to get this fixed as service won't do anything unless they hear it.

All in all this is a great truck. I think Nissan still has some minor quality problems and I can see why other manufacturers are starting to build plants in Canada rather than the South.

Yeah, Ford and Chevy have done such a great job with Canadian labor.
