I love mine.
I think alot of the negitive talk comes from the background of the people who buy the truck.
My last car was an acura RL, which is the best made, most quality orented luxury car I have had (more so than BMW I think) so to go to a Titan I did take a hit in quality. I would still rate the Titan fit and finish much higher than the "big 3" Dodges horribly cheap plastic parts, Fords margin of manufaturing error (good enuf mentality), and chevy's complete lack of effort make them not even comparible to the titan.
This is my 5th Nissan truck. I've had this 2005 XE KC 4x4 for a little over a month. Got almost 6,000 miles on her and haven't had one single issue except the tailgate was rattling a little, but I fixed that myself. When I do purchase a new truck, and the Titan is still around, you can bet I'll own another one!

I work for a Water District that has over 40 Ford and Chevy trucks of various trim levels in the fleet. With that experience those two brands were not even a consideration for my personal vehicle. It was between the Titan and the Tundra, and except for interior quality, the Titan was the clear choice. I have 8000 miles on mine, and all I have done to it is have the upgraded brakes installed, which was very painless at my dealer.
My Neice says to me: You love your truck too much, Why don't you marry it?
My girlfriend says to me: you don't ever hesitate to talk about how much you love your truck, why don't you talk about me like that? I tell her it's because my truck only brings me joy, it's not constantly bustin' my balls to spend more time and be more affectionate.
I love my Titan! I did my research. Compared everything, from price, power, quality, and reliability. For what a Titan has to offer it was perfect for me. I looked at other trucks too. Well the New Tundra vs. Titan., They were like $5k more with less to offer to me. I love the transmission on it. Smooth shift. Power when I need it! Honestly I've done more outdoor activities with this truck than I have with my previous vehicles. Winter is coming. Gonna hit the slopes. Other than that you will not ever hear any complaints from me. Besides real men takes risk! That's why I got a Titan Yo!

Happy and proud owner of a 2004 SE 4x4 CC (non-tow) since Feb '05, bought new. 14.5K on it, no problems reported. It's the preferred family vehicle in my household. Guys love them and chicks dig them!
Loveing my Titan and the others don't even come close to power, smoothness of the tranny, and the overall looks that you get when people pull up next to you. It always puts a smile on my face and a smirk on the wifes 'cause I love my truck.
Next Titan will be the 2007-8 Titan with the T-D built by a partnership of Cummins and Navistar(Ford Powerstroke builders).
I LOVE MY TITAN! It has had the brake problem as well as the A/C problem, but they were both easily taken care of. The truck hauls *** (14.9 1/4 in a with intake/exhaust), pulls 9000 lbs like theres nothing behind it, is roomy, comfortable, has every amenity you could as for in a truck, and is priced great. I get compliments and nods everywhere I go, apparently I'm not the only one who loves it!

They are trying to take advantage of the fact the Titan is/was a NEW build and design model. Fords, Chevrolet and Dodge trucks have been around many years and yes, several model changes. Sure the Titans had some problems. So do all the others and THEY HAVE been around awhile. You must not deal with emotions! You must deal with the facts. The fact is the Titan is a great vehicle overall, despite some rough beginnings.

Me love Titan long time! My BIG girl turns 2 in about a month, and she's had none of the major problems that plagued the 04s and early 05s. This is my second Nissan and the fifth in the family (81 Maxima, 95 Hard Body KC for the parents, 02 Pathfinder older sister, 86 720 KC my last truck) and there's a reason Nissan has become our family brand.
I was not going to buy an '04 because I don't do 1st model year vehicles, and then I decided to not place an order until I knew the factory was installing the revised brakes. I have about 6,000 miles on my 2005 with a Born on Date of 5/18/05 and I could not be happier.
I have had a few problems, but to me no big deal. The dealer beat the crap out of my original wheels during the initial dealer prep, so to make it right I forced them to give me the tires and wheels off an Off-Road Pkg. they had on their lot - Problem Dealer
This whole wheel issue got worse because the Goodyears were all damaged at the factory or they were just crap from the factory. After 10 minutes of ownership it was obvious I needed 5 new tires because they inner carcass was destroyed - Problem Goodyear or Nissan
At 1,500 miles I noticed the truck was marking its territory on my driveway. The rear pinion seal was replaced and problem was solved. A total no big deal - Problem Nissan.
