Re: All happy titan owners chime in here

Well for the most part I am happy with this truck it is way better than my old 04 that was a disaster!
I would be alot happyer if I did not have to deal with these darn frozen doors! When I get this fixed I will be very happy with the truck.
these are the fixes I have had done to date, all small things to me.

1. brakes final TSB.
2. AC TSB. still not working right.
3. BCM replaced not TSB.
4. Window regulator

And I do have a fuel gauge problem that when it's cold it reads about half the amount of gas that I do have in the tank. Like I will fill it up and when I start her up in morning when it's cold it will read less then half a tank when it was full when I shut the truck off the night before. after the truck warms up alittle the gauge works fine. And also I have a slight low speed vibration I think is from the tires. these are very miner to me.

Re: All happy titan owners chime in here

I'm Extremely Happy!!!

I have only every owned GMC / CHEVY though I noticed a huge lack of quality and reliability over my last few purchases. When my last truck was towed back to the dealership for it's 3rd check engine light, I was passing by Nissan as they were just parking my future Titan.

By the way, a big thank-you to TitanTalk and all of the members here. I have found incredible information and resources here.

Re: All happy titan owners chime in here

Last year we drove my wife's '04 Canteen LE KC 4x4 out of the dealer showroom and have loved it ever since!!! In fact, I had to have one for myself- so I went back and got an '05 Deep Water SE 4x4 and love that too. I have owned Chevy's,Dodge's and Ford's. The Titan runs rings around all three of those dinosaurs. In fact, our friend's who drive conventional big three trucks still look at our trucks and continually ask us questions about them. I think many more people actually like these trucks but refuse to admit it because it's a foreign make. I say screw the foreign/domestic BS- if you like the vehicle you should buy it! We would never get rid of our Titans. We plan to hold on to them til their dead!

I'm happy with my 2005. As a matter of fact I might get a 4x4 in 2007.

The only things I've had done were:

Brake judder fixed on first visit for problem.
Trailer wiring upgrade (BCM/or whatever it was called).

Lowest mpg was 12.5, highest was 14.5. All city driving with a right foot that gets very heavy on ocassion.

Re: All happy titan owners chime in here

I've never owned a vehicle that was totally problem free.

I'm happy with my choice. I'm happy with the truck.

The toughest thing about owning the Titan is practicing self control. I've gotten pretty good at it if I do say so myself

Re: All happy titan owners chime in here

I am very happy with my Titan. The dealer I am currently taking her to knows how to service her properly and has not played any games. I have no room to complain. 8 out of 10 TSB's were taken care of that I complained about. The 2 that were not will be as soon as the parts they ordered arrive and I remember to leave them the locking gas cap key

So far she has been a great truck to own. I will be buying Nissan again because of my experience with the Titan.

Re: All happy titan owners chime in here

I'm usuall hypercritical of products I buy, but my Titan, after 5000 miles, has really exceeded my expectations. It's been:

1. Reliable--no problems at all.
2. Versatile.
3. Fun to drive.
4. Comfortable.
5. Safe--I feel like I'm riding in an M1A1 Abrams tank.

Yeah, baby!

Thumbs up Re: All happy titan owners chime in here

I tend to over analyze before buying a new vehicle, taking most of the fun out of a purchase. Owning only ford pickups in the past, I decided to keep an open mind while trying out all of the full sized trucks. I tried them all out in the same day, stopping at the Nissan dealership last. This was the first time that it was an easy choice. No comparison.
A few complaints:
1. Squeaky drivers seat ( fixed it myself after referring to a thread on this website)
2. Leaking bedside storage box
Overall, the Titan is a great truck.

Re: All happy titan owners chime in here

I agree with Chief.......neither have I. All the previous cars I have owned have had at least five or six significant service bulletins on them. Am just happy to have such a reliable beast!!!
