Radio Volume Keeps Going Down On It's Own

Every time I slow down to a stop from about 50mph seems like my volume goes down. At first I thought I was crazy. This is wierd any suggestions?

I know there is speed sensitive volume ( SSV ) I always heard of the volume getting louder not the lower. On your radio hit the button were u adjust for bass and treble and look for SSV, turn that off and see if your still having problems.

Re: Radio Volume Keeps Going Down On It's Own

that is the classic newbie question here at TitanTalk.com... Just don't follow that one up with a statement about how your rotors got warped shortly after purchasing the truck and that we should all be careful and watch out for our rotors getting warped.
LOL- I crack myself up sometimes.

Re: Radio Volume Keeps Going Down On It's Own

SSV, yep. Lowers the volume when you slow down/stop. I LOVE this feature. Of course it is not as necessary in the Titan since it has a fairly quiet cabin at speed. But the idea is that your volume would be a bit higher on the highway to compesate for road noise. Considering I've been used to driving a Jeep Wrangler with 33" mud tires on the highway... the SSV would have been terrific in that! :-)

Re: Radio Volume Keeps Going Down On It's Own

SSV goes up @ about 40 and then again @ 65
you generally don't notice the volume down because it is subtle but it is there
