How much for An extended warranty?

I might buy a Titan 4X4 today, and they want to charge me $2500 for the 7 year 78,000 mile extended warranty. This seems too high. I was wandering what everyone else paid.

Re: How much for An extended warranty?

Nissan Gold 5yr 100k for $0.00. The dealership advertised a free warranty and it didn't specify which one. At first they didn't want to give us the free warranty they advertised because we got "such a good deal" on our truck. Well after a call to the false advertisement department for the Department of Motor Vehicles, the dealership said which warranty do you want?

Re: How much for An extended warranty?

I just purchased one for my '06 LE CC 4x2. Below is the list of prices that I received from different dealers:

Nissan Security Plus Gold Preferred 7-year, 100K miles, $0 deductible

Gunn Nissan (San Antonio, TX) $2,539
Ingram Park (San Antonio, TX) $2,689
San Marcos Nissan (San Marcos, TX) $2,239
Ancira Nissan (San Antonio, TX) $2,695
Advantage Nissan (Bremerton, WA) $2,039

I purchased it from Fred Kravich w/ Advantage Nissan. His e-mail response was very prompt, and the transaction went very smoothly.

By the way, I purchased the same warranty for my '04 Titan in 5/04 for $1,765, but I got the deal as a part of the vehicle purchase negotiation. Not this time as the dealer that I purchased my '06 from did not sell Nissan extended warranty. Good luck.

Regards,

Masa

I've never heard of a dealer that didn't sell the companies warranty. They must make more profit on an aftermarket one. I'd call Nissan and inquire about it.
