What i Love Best about My New Titan...

Is all the Jealous Glares from the 150 Owners....Everyone and their Monkey has a 150 around here...

I Smoked 3 150's in One Afternoon...is that proper Break In Procedure ???

I have Super Duty PSD's but their Mostly Work...the Titan is Pure Play.

And Play it Does.

I got to use the now classic line to a F150 owner at 7-11:

"Cute Truck bro"

Re: What i Love Best about My New Titan...

The F-150 is not a bad looking truck. Ford just made the bedsides a little too high IMO. Everyone likes to talk about how slow they are, but that doesn't keep people from buying them. I see a good number of new F-150's around here.

Have you notice how HEAVY the doors are on a new F-150? It's like they're packed with solid lead or something. A good gust of wind could close the doors on a Titan.lol!

It seems Ford overbuilt the F-150 and now it weighs too much for the power of the engine. Either that, or the engine is not putting out an actual 300hp at the crank.

For ride comfort I would have to say the F150 is the best. And since there redesign the interior is pretty decent too.

Too bad its a ford.

Re: What i Love Best about My New Titan...

The F-150 would be a decent truck if it had at least 50 more HP. The styling is nice on Lariates and FX4 models but it is to slow and not nearly as fun to drive as the Titan.

Ride comfort?

There's no comparison between the F150 and the Titan. That's what sold me on the Titan. It's ride is unmatched in the 1/2 ton pickup market.

Re: What i Love Best about My New Titan...

Fords have quiet steel. it's definitely a smoother riding truck but maybe too smooth and the tranny just makes it too slow.

I was going to buy one but the dealer tried to rip me off in pricing so I walked away and luckily thought of the Titan.

It's not perfect but I think I came out better.

What is this "too smooth" you speak of?

Re: What i Love Best about My New Titan...

I'm with shyster. I test drove both back to back to back. Even parked the F150 beside the Titan at the Nissan dealer. I thought the Titan had a better ride. Perhaps the Titan's ride just appealed to me more.

Re: What i Love Best about My New Titan...

I rode in the back seat of a new Crew Cab Ford and thought the ride was kind of choppy on the highway. My buddy was looking at them, and I decided to ride in the back. This was months before I was looking at the Titan, so I went in with an open opinion.

And I agree-the sides of the F-150 are way too high. Some people call it the fat-a$$, cuz i't so widr and big looking!

Haha My supervisor at work tells me. "Why did you get the most gas guseling truck out there." Every time i have seen him the parking lot he looks at it! better yet he would always joke around about racing and hooking up the tow chains with other guys in his f150. Not me guess he knows better! haha

Re: What i Love Best about My New Titan...

I test drove the Ford and the Titan back to back also. What I noticed was the F-150 did ride very smooth when on a smooth surface but hit some choppy stuff and its a different story there ride is a bit overated to me. The f-150 is not THAT nuch heavier than the titan the titan just has a better engine and trans just no other way to look at it. Both good trucks but... I bought the Titan and could have gotten a better deal on the 150 nuff said.
