I would be more worried about where it was than when it was. Run a carfax on it & make sure it wasn't in the gulf coast during the summer. The real change at that point was the brakes. So see if they were done or not.

Mine is May-05 and it came w/ massage chair brakes (see judder) So don't worry. I believe MOST 05s had the bad breaks. Drive for a while, wait for the shudder, and get some free new rotors and pads. I'd say it's better to get the 05s cause it's like getting a free break job after 2-10K miles

Mine is a 11/05 build and I haven't had too much trouble with it. I'm going to take it back for the AC fix soon and I've already had the break fix => no problem.
Problem with buying used is, you never know how the previous owner treated it. ANY used vehicle is only as good as its previous owner treated it.

Finally found a pretty good deal on an 05 Titan. Should I be concerned about any Titan that has a build date before May? Thanks Guys.
I wouldn't buy any used Titans. Believeing the owner didn't get rid of it from nagging problems and it's a good one, it may have some of the issues discussed here come up later.
If it were me, I wouldn't buy it.
If you want a Titan, pay the extra and get a new '06.
Thanks Guys, It is not a used vehicle. It's a new one with an early prouction date. Thanks again.
buy it. IMO, there is no reason to buy an '06 instead of an '05. I have a 2005 that I bought in January and have had zero problems other than brake dust.
I'm taking mine in today to get the brake fix done, just for peace of mind.

That seat creak issue pisses me off. I have a gas pedal creak too.

Well i am on repair 2 on drivers seat ... and getting the pass. seat rattle fixed next week..... since repair 2 on drivers i have not had a return of the creak,,,, and it has been 3 weeks,,,,
My build date is 2/05 and had no problems so far, only been back to the dealer for two oil changes. I know I will probally get the judder eventually, but when it does I can go get a free set of brakes from Nissan.
How do you guys go months and months and several thousand miles without judder? Do you drive like geezers????
Mine were shuddering well before my first oil change.
