Downloading Titan service manual

Just got off the phone with customer service at nissan-techinfo.com and I'm confused.
I'd read on here that people have downloaded the on-line service manual, but the guy told me that it's only a 24 hour viewing deal, that if you try to download or print you will corrupt files. Crapp, now I'm wondering if I purchased from the right people!

Re: Downloading Titan service manual

It is a 24 hour download window but you will not have corrupt files, many have downloaded and saved the manual without problems. Cost $20.

Re: Downloading Titan service manual

You have to download each file, one at a time. All 40+ of them. But it will work fine.

Re: Downloading Titan service manual

If you download them and keep the default file names, the links inside the table of contents will work - makes it easier to navigate.

Re: Downloading Titan service manual

This is taking forever to download.

I'm on a phat pipe too. I wouldn't even try on a slow connection. You'd be lucky to get it all downloaded in 24 hours if you didn't sleep.

Coach - if you strike out or run out of time, shoot me a pm. I'll let you borrow a set of service manuals.

Re: Downloading Titan service manual

44 files is the right count. Mine only total about 103MB, but I think you have the complete set.

Re: Downloading Titan service manual

Yeah, Ditto What Austin said.

I'm a computer geek and it took me a little while to get the hang of downloading the files. As long as Nissan gets there $20 bucks I don't see a problem with sharing info to those who paid for it but had trouble with the d/l proccess.

Err I mean what downloaded files. I am only viewing during the 24 hour period. How did those files get saved to my hard drive?

Anybody look through these. I started to take a look, what a wealth of information. I'd say it's definitely worth 20 bucks for DIY / tinkering type.

Re: Downloading Titan service manual

I first downloaded the 2004 NissanTitan Service Manual about nine months ago. About four weeks ago my son-in-law decided to download the Infiniti QX56 Service Manual and while he had the 24 hour window, I decided to download both the 2004 & 2005 Titan Service Manuals.

The size of the 2004 Nissan Titan Service Manual remained unchanged in size at 101MB between the download of 9 months ago and 4 weeks ago. The 2005 Nissan Titan Service Manual was much larger at 150MB in size. I haven't yet made a exhaustive comparison between the 2004 & 2005 manuals to find where the major difference lies. Both 2004 & 2005 manuals had the same number of files at 44 files each.

I suppose that I was derelict in not downloading the 2006 Titan Service Manual while I had the opportunity. The 2006 may be even larger in size than the 2005 manual, and maybe more complete, but I will leave that project for others to determine.

Re: Downloading Titan service manual

Yup, as JR said they've added a file for the 06 manuals.

The 04 and 05 manuals are both 43 sections plus a fwd.pdf file, or 44 files total.

The 06 manual has 44 sections plus a fw.pdf file, 45 total. They've added a file called atc.pdf - Automatic Air Conditioner. Prior, there was only Manual Air Conditioner.

04 manuals, edition November 2003, revision November 2003 - 91.7MB
05 manuals, edition November 2003, revision April 2004 - 101MB
06 manuals, edition July 2005, revision July 2005 - 105MB
