I just installed a PRG levelling kit on my Titan 4x4 crew cab and noticed a knocking noise from the front left wheel over bumps at lower speeds? Any thoughts? The strut assembly is secure, I had one mechanic say it was the rack that attaches to the steering column.
A friend of mine installed the prg lift on his Titan also and had the same knock you are talking about. He took it to Nissan and they said they would not touch his truck until he took the lift out and then brought it back. He did have it taken back out and then had Nissan look at it. It turns out he had a blown strut. He had to fight with them over covering it under warranty which they finally did. He is still not sure as to what caused the strut to fail. His truck only has 12000 miles on it. I hope it works out for you. Good luck

Do you have the Off-Road package? (Rancho shocks?)
The front and rear shocks seem be lasting about 1-1.5 years and typically start to get "loose" around there. I am starting to get alot of calls that sound like this "my truck used to go right over these speed bumps/dips/whatever, but lately the truck bounces all over when I go the same speed that I used to". That is typical of the shock breaking down. Im not 100% sure why the stock shcoks do this (if its the shims loosing thier tension, or slow nitrogen leaks, or even small oil leaks). But if your truck seems to be handling differnt from whn you bought it, its most likley the shocks.
Maxfax, as for your particualr issue, give me a ring (my number is on the box and the instructions) and I will go through all the possibilities with you and be sure that the install is perfect and Ill go over ways to tell exactly what is goin on. Talk to you soon...greg
BTW, the DRE shocks are absoultly the best ride/handling improvment I have found yet for street and dirt. They arent cheap, but they do what Nissan couldn't. If anyone is interested, call for special DRE and Bilstien package price.

Check the eccentric cam adjustment bolts for the LCA's if you have them. One of mine got stripped after getting the front end alignment done at the dealer when I got the leveling kit installed. One of bolts eventually worked itself loose and then made clunking/knocking sounds whenever I went over bumps particularly in off-camber situations. It also wreaked havoc on the front tire wear producing lots of feathering on the outside edges of the tires.

i installed Greg's PRG leveling kit on my 2006 Titan 4x4 with the off road package and with in 2 days i had all kinds of knocking. i thought i did not torque something correctly so i pulled the wheels to re torque things. with the wheels removed it was very obvious that the shocks had failed as there was oil running down the shock body. i called Greg and ordered some Bilstien struts and i could not be happier with the improved ride with the new struts. i ran the new struts for a few weeks with no problems and no noises. i would recommend that anyone with suspension questions call Greg he is very knowledgeable and easy to deal with.
