Question Zoomers Cannon Tip on Banks Exhaust?

Anyone running this combo?... I have a Banks and the drone is starting to bother me... read a few posts that the Cannon Tip is better but I was quoted $130 for the tip... not sure if it is worth it.

Just looking for some feedback... Thank you in advance.

Re: Zoomers Cannon Tip on Banks Exhaust?

baseballfanz has a similar setup. Keep this thread to the top or PM him. The only time I notice drone is when I'm driving between 30-45 mph. Is that about the speed that you notice it?

Woodbury huh? That's where I grew up.

Re: Zoomers Cannon Tip on Banks Exhaust?

Yes I have the Zoomers tip on my Banks. Make a big difference, while there is a slight drone still there it's very tolerable. Well worth the $130 IMO.

Re: Zoomers Cannon Tip on Banks Exhaust?

What did you have to do? Does it just clamp onto the 3" section upstream of the 4" flare? I have already gotten rid of the Banks tip and cut off the 4" flare. I'm currently running a 3.5" tip clamped to the 3" pipe.

Re: Zoomers Cannon Tip on Banks Exhaust?

You could clamp it but I got mine welded on. If you already cut off the 4" flange than the Zommers will slide over the Banks 3" pipe.

Re: Zoomers Cannon Tip on Banks Exhaust?

I just ordered the Zoomers tip today. I have a 3" Magnaflow exhaust and the drone is bad from 55 to 75 MPH. Will let you know how well the Zoomers tip works.

Re: Zoomers Cannon Tip on Banks Exhaust?

Well I here to report back on Zoomers tip. I have a custom 3" system with a 30" Magnaflow muffler. Drone was bad from 55 to 75. Put Zoomers tip on today free of charge and drone is better. Still there but only from 55 to 65.
And not as bad. Looks awesome too.

Re: Zoomers Cannon Tip on Banks Exhaust?

This is on my list of things to do. I've been too busy to stop by their shop, but I want to get this tip.

I've got the Banks, and put a Gibson tip on, which helped somewhat with drone. I hope that this zoomer tip willl help even more.

I like the growl, but not the brain-numbing drone
