Can I just buy a blank key from Ebay and get it programmed?
Yes, as long as it's a Nissan key being sold on EBAY, it'll work once programmed.

How much is an average charge for this?I don't wanna be ripped off.And can I just have the local locksmith cut it and then have the dealer program? This is very new to me and need to know as much as possible so I don't make a mistake by buying new keys and remotes. Can I also buy the remote keyless entry and have this done as well?

Some locksmiths can also program the key. If you have power door locks you can buy a key fob from e-bay and program it yourself. The second post in the thread I listed above has the instructions for programming the fob.

How much are you saving by buying the key blank on eBay? Sounds like a lot of running around, when you could just go to the dealer and be done with it.
Any chance of finding your old keys? Know anyone with a metal detector?
