sat radio?

http://www.nissanwholesaleparts.com/ Does anyone know if the special they are running of the sat radio will hook up the the titan radio, and use the steering wheel controls? Also does anyone know if anything more is needed to hook it up? I don't know anything about sat radio. Thanks in advance.

Re: sat radio?

That's a rip-off. Go get yourself a unit that you can take with you in any vehicle. If you have the AUX input, that's how you connect it. Otherwise, it can be listened to over the FM. BUT...to answer your question, yes, if you have an LE with an SAT button, you can have that one installed and it'll use all the existing buttons including the steering wheel mounted controls.

Re: sat radio?

I have an 05 SE it doesn't have the sat button, but under the dash is a sticker that has sirrus on it with an ID #. I don't need one that I can take from vehicle to vehicle, because the titan is the only vehicle that I use. I would like to be able to use the steering wheel controls.

Re: sat radio?

My son got me a Audiovox for christmas, he said the rebate equaled the store price so he got it free. The XM subscription is $12.95 a month. Works great in my Titan!

Re: sat radio?

That looks like a pretty good deal for a factory XM. I just called Autoway Nissan here in Tampa for their price. 400.00 for the module. 110.00 for the antenna. I didn't even bother asking about labor.

I thought that sounded like a good price, I guess I will call them to see if it is complete, or if it needs other items to work.

Re: sat radio?

You might need to buy a Titan specific mounting bracket.

Re: sat radio?

If you guys are going with the factory Sirius setup make sure you get there Sigma with it, which is there interior glass mounted Antenna.

There's not going to be any chance of having a water leak down the line.

I have this set up and I like it, it works great!

Mounts right at the top of the windshield by the rear view.

Deep.

If you don't have the system with the SAT button, I don't think you can use the factory Sirius/XM add-on. But maybe someone else here knows otherwise.

I don't have the SAT button on my radio, I do have a SAT option though.
I have to toggle through the radio button to get to the SAT option.
