Anyone have Michelin Pilot LTX?

Thinking about these tires in a 275/65/R18. What do you guys think? It seems there are quite a few tires available in this size. I know it's a little smaller but I think it would work fine.

Re: Anyone have Michelin Pilot LTX?

I have no experience with them. However, I use Tirerack.com for tires, and I've found their user ratings and reviews helpful (and mostly accurate). Here is a link for the Michelins :http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....odel=Pilot+LTX

At better than half the cost I have had these on my truck for over 12K and I can't tell if they've worn any at all. I'm not hell on them but I've been across the USA with them and they've perrformed great.
Truth known, with the longevity of wear, they may be made by Michelin!

Re: Anyone have Michelin Pilot LTX?

I ran them on my titan for awhile and dont have any complaints with them. Only reason I switched is because I put a lift on. They are Michelins so they will last a long time. I would say it is probably the best choice out right now only downside is they are not stock size but close enough.

Don't feel bad I put on BFG All-Terrain TA KO's on my Titan also, and you got a nice price compared to what I payed.

Re: Anyone have Michelin Pilot LTX?

Never thought I'd drop a grand on some tires. It's depressing to think of all the stuff you could get that will last a lot longer than 30k miles! I got a quote on some 35x12.5R18 cooper stt for $255/tire. Pretty good price but I'm a little worried they'll rub quite a bit with only a PRG lift on it. Anybody ever used these?

Thumbs up Re: Anyone have Michelin Pilot LTX?

The Michelin Pilots you are looking at are one half an inch smaller in diameter than the stock size. This equates to a one mph discrepancey at 60 mph, not too bad at all. Please post results if you get them.

Its only 1/2" smaller, and I loved mine on my Grand Cherokee. Good tire.
