Can anyone please post a close up of their windshield upper corners where it meets the roof/a-pillar??? I just had my windshield replaced and it looks like poop with big gaps!!! Pictures of factory and/or windshields that have been replaced would be great! I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks man, I really appreciate you taking the time to do that. No worries on the dirt, they all look like that at some point. I knew the gasket/molding was much tighter than what this guy did on the install, ridiculous!!! I should have taken pictures before but figured going to a guy with 20 years expeience would be a good thing. I'll have to post pics of what he did later.
I install auto glass for a living please send a pictures of your windshield so i can see what happen. Ive seen a lot bad jobs done on Nissan trucks and Van. Thank you John
Thanks for all of the thoughts here....this is what I ended up getting back. I'm not very happy with it. There are also a few scratches in the windshield.
The guy said he would replace it if I want him to. He said if I wan the OEM Molding/gasket it costs $65 from Nissan. What he used here was after market. I just think these gaps are way too big. Plus I don't like the idea of paying 300 bucks for scratched glass.
Not a bad job seen worse at the factory in tenn They never come out looking like that with the factor molding. Is the windshield even with the roof? Can read the VIN ?
Can you send a pic of the VIN box? My i ask was who did this was it a major auto glass company? Inside your truck is there a gap between the pillar cover or is the glass flash with the pillar cover? Thank you John and when was this done?
I toured the Smyrna factory back in 2011. From what I recall, it was a robotic arm that almost instantly installed the windshield with sensors. But there was a guy standing there with the arm, not sure what part he played in it.
