12 Volt Bed Outlet

My 12 Volt outlet in the bed of the truck isn't working. Does anybody know where the fuse is located? I have checked the dash but everything looks good there.

Re: 12 Volt Bed Outlet

HH,

Check under the rear bumper on the drivers side. My outlet wasn't working either, and I found that they had not connected the connector under there. I plugged them together and amazingly, it works now. QC seems to be a lost art.

Re: 12 Volt Bed Outlet

Thanks...I'll check. It was working then quit. Used too many amps and probably blew the fuse.

Dealer giving me the run around, I'm sure they want me to bring it in so they can make a buck.

Re: 12 Volt Bed Outlet

If the fuse is not in the fuse compartment in the passenger side dash, then it is probably in the box under the hood.

Re: 12 Volt Bed Outlet

if its not in the passenger side inside the cab it is under the hood in one of those black boxes (near windshield) by battery... just pop off the covers and read the names of the fuses...

Re: 12 Volt Bed Outlet

The one that seems like its too far back there to be a fuse box is in fact a fuse box. Thats where you'll find it, behind the battery there is a relay box, behind that is a box that noone in there right mind would make out to be a fuse box. That one is the fuse box.

Re: 12 Volt Bed Outlet

It should be fuse #28 under the hood on the passenger side in the fuse and fusible link box.

Is it the one marked "RR Socket" on the cover of the fuse box?
