this may be a really stupid question, but i have a 4x4 and haven't really used it much. my question is, while 4 wheel is engaged, do i need to turn it back to 2wd before i stop and turn off the truck or can i just turn off the truck and leave it in 4wd mode? thanks, titanrookie
I usually take it out of 4X4 when I park it, but it's really not neccessary.

Not sure but is it possible to get your hubs froze in 4x4? Just a thought. We dont have that problem here in FL but maybe where you are. If its not cold and you have the need to leave them locked I would think there would be no probs. with that! I have left my hubs locked and had no probs.

It's not possible because the Titan doesn't have locking hubs. They are splined and rotate with the front CV shafts at all times.
Leave it in 4WD mode so you don't have to worry about not being able to engage 4wd in the morning if your driveway or parking space is knee deep in snow.

Not a problem. Since the "hubs" are always locked, there's no movement needed to go into 4WD. So from a stop it will go right into 4WD when switched. It's electronic. Nice.

From what I understand the 4WD system does not like the stress caused by sharp turns etc specially when the surface is paved and free of ice, snow and mud/sand.
If the parking process is rather straight forward, then leaving it in 4WD should not be an issue.
If you are parking into a tight spot with sharp turns and the additional traction is not needed 2WD is what I would use.

I would let road conditions dictate. If you believe you will need the 4WD when you start up leave it in. If not take it out. Either way no issues leaving it in 4WD. If the road surface is dry, I would take it out.

+1
I take it out of 4wd before pulling into the driveway due to the sharp turn or in parking lots. ESPECIALLY on dry pavement.
