I'm going to get some wheels/tires for my Titan very soon- and I can get just about any combo. I have settled on 20" wheels with 305/55/20 Terra Grapplers, but now I'm starting to consider a 18" wheel with 285/65/18. I'm not so sure about a 17" because they seem a bit small on the Titan, although the tire choices go up. What would you guys do, if you had the choice of any wheel/tire size combo? I don't want to go past a 33" overall, I'm about 90% street driving with some light duty offroad in the summers. Oh, and price isn't an issue- I get a nice discount through my company. So let's hear it, which size would you go for? Help me make a decision!
Ive been debating the same thing and I think I'm gunna go with a 18" wheel and not sure about tire size. I know there's not much in tires for 18's but I wanna keep the stock size on the wheels.
I'd say 20 inch KMC XD Rockstars in black with Nittos or toyo open countries.
now you got to help me get your discount...help a fellow Smoke color bretheren out!
-you read my mind...it's the combo that I've been stuck on for well over a year now.
The HW wheels are cool as well in black w/ the ring- and I do work for HW, but the Rockstar matches the Titan better, IMO, with its blocky, edgy design.
Hmmm, I would kinda like to see the 20x10 black with beadlock Hot Wheels rims. I think if I was you I would give them a shot. I bet you get one heck of a deal on those, and they are different. I've seen the Rock stars before and they do look good, but just something about them that doesn't look right to me??? My vote goes to the Hot Wheels in 20x10.
Wouldnt the hot wheels option be mandatory? or at least get more incentive through work. Just kidding.
lol, that's what I was thinking. But the Rock Stars are made by KMC, and the Hot Wheels are also made by KMC. So I bet he's getting the same great discount either way. Lucky dog.
Your first choice was my choice. I love my 20's and Nitto's.
Me too! Very happy and would do it again in a heartbeat.

That's funny Greg, I got that from just about everyone. Maybe if they paid for my truck, haha!
I really like the look of the XD's. Very rugged and edgy. The HW wheels look a bit too rounded out, but still good. Only one way to tell, visuals! I've been "advised" to go with 20's to "meet current trends". So be it I guess. The tires aren't the correct model (BFG AT's I think) but close enough to get a read on things.
Probably go with the Rockstars.

those rockstars look nice but I think they resemble our stock rims too much
if i was to lay down some hard earned cash on rims, my choice is chrome
It's funny you mention about the "stock" issue- I thought the same thing. But I actually like the fact that they look a bit stock, it attracts less attention. I like to stay a bit low profile, don't want too much of a "look at me" truck.
