Mine is doing the same thing, also the taillight trim is doing the same thing. Cheap plastic parts I guess! I think I will get stainless next time.

Re: Chrome Tailgate Accent bubbling

Gonna have to check mine out and see if it is doing that...hope not. I put a coat of wax over it though when I wax the truck, so hopefully that helped. And, I got mine through Jason so I am sure he would cover me.

If it was something expensive I would have, or if it was something I thought that would break in a few weeks/months, it never occurred to me that this thing would bubble.

Oh well, Lesson learned.

How many things can you buy for your truck for $60.... a tank of gas, if you lucky? One silverstar light bulb, not two, you dont have enough for that, but one....

Re: Chrome Tailgate Accent bubbling

Checked mine this morning and no bubbling. I think the waxing of it might have helped.

Re: Chrome Tailgate Accent bubbling

I just washed my truck up after a particularly nasty trip to the western slope of the Rocky's in Colorado. Snowpacked and salt and chemicals on the roads for 1,000 miles. No bubbles here. I travel 3,000 miles a month in Utah, Idaho and Colorado, needless to say see some nasty salt and magneisum. Maybe they had a bad batch of chrome plate for you guys.
