Re: New Tundra?

Bed looks F150, front GM, Tailgate Titan, and cab TOY. Probably look better with real wheels and color, but I'm not overly impressed.

Re: New Tundra?

We need to wait and see on Feb 9th to what it REALLY looks like. I know I'm excited with the horsepower ratings and the Toyota quality. Not impressed with being American made. Knowing Toyota, I'm sure this will be one badass ride. I've heard that the interior will be something else which I hope since my Titan interior was made of horrible grade of plastic. Toyota is going to give it to Detroit hard at least I hope so. With the new Tundra coming and the hints from Toyota about the horsepower ratings and the butt load of configurations of this truck your going to see a lot of potential Titan buyers and owners make there way to Toyota. Someone might want to start a new website/forum now for the "New Tundra".

Re: New Tundra?

Not impressed...whats next?

The titan's interior is not that bad. Right behind the Ford's(FX4 & Lariat) and ahead of the others. If you want a Luxury interior buy a damn luxury car!!!
I bought a truck and i got a truck interior.

Re: New Tundra?

Well, that about does it. Waiting to see what the new Tundra looked like was the last thing keeping me from buying a Titan. Looks like I can start looking around seriously now. Even with only a few pictures to judge it by, it definitely looks much better than the current Tundra IMO, but still nowhere near the Titan.

The possibility of 350 hp sure is nice though...

Everything I've read said 325-330HP for the new Tundra. I wanna see torque numbers and interior space numbers. It'd have to offer a locking rear end with limited slip and a center consol located shifter for me to even think about it. It would also have to NOT remind me of driving a boring old fart Camry.

Not me. Why jump ship when the "new" Titan will stomp the new Tundra? Nissan will simply tweak the Endurance to match the Tundra if not more. Nissan has broke a lot of ground with the Titan, and they are not going to give up and fall behind.

Re: New Tundra?

HP is meaningless, its Torque that wins on race day. If it has a nice flat torque curve coupled with the HP, it would be formittable. If it has little torque in the low rpms but has decent torque at high rpms, it will have high HP but be a dog. Torque is your push. HP is RPM x torque. Both are quoted at max vs. how long and how sustained they are. This is why V8s have so much more power than 4 bangers even with equal HP. They high RPMs make the HP look artifically high due to the high multiplying factor of the RPMs. A better way of measuring TQ and HP might be what is the min TQ/HP over a band of 3000 RPMs the motor can produce.

Re: New Tundra?

With the F150 being the best selling vehicle in the country over and over again, the other automakers have realized the huge market out there for this type of vehicle. All of the competition leads to better and better trucks by every manufacturer each new generation. The beneficiary of this is us... I know I am enjoying it

Re: New Tundra?

Looks like a regular cab, short bed Dodge Ram. This doesn't surprise me as the RAM is the best looking truck on the market, 2nd only by the Ford.

I'm EXTREMELY PLEASE that the Tundra will be made in the USA!!!!!! Enough with outsourcing jobs to other countries! Tundra's been made in my home state where it's had excellent quality and reliability. It would be stupid to farm out OUR U.S. Jobs when quality is excellent! Usually, labor has nothing to do with vehicle problems, it's usually the moronic engineers who come up with bad designs. This is universal.

Have a good one.
