I think mine was done at 20% with 3M. Match looks great to me. Make sure you pay attention to what kind of film, since some look different from the inside. Mine looks the same for the front and back, from inside and outside. Search and you will find another thread with a lot of info on this.

rear is 18%. i wanted 15% in the front to counter the light coming through the windshield that makes the fronts appear lighter than the rears. the guy didn't have it in stock so i went with 20%. matches very well during overcast skies but the front definitely appears lighter when the sun is out.

Just got mine tinted last week, 5% on the back window, rear door windows, and top winshield strip. 35% which is the legal limit in Hawaii on the front windows. I got the black/black tint, looks real good. The back is totally dark and makes the front look darker than it really is so it blends in well. BTW- as long as our front windows are legal we can go as dark as we want on the back, is it the same for you guys in other states? Let me know if you guys want me to snap some pics.

In Louisiana you can get a form from the state police for sun allergies, and if you know your doctor good enough he can fill it out for you and then you can have the tint as dark as you want it legally.
I know I put 35% over the factory tint on the back windows, and have 25% on the front. Not legal in most places, but rarely do cop say anything unless its Limo black (5%) in the front.
Also, if you get pulled over for anything, first tghing you should do is turn on your dome lights because it allows them to see into the car better even if the tint is dark (police appreciate that even if you have no tint, because it shows your not hiding anything).

I got Radient Desert Smoke 20% tint installed yesterday on the front windows... it is scratchproof, so it doesn't match the rears perfectly. You see for a tint to be scratch-proof they add a metallic coating which will appear either slightly green, blue, or gold. It can't be dead on black like the rears. Same problem with my Maxima, but on that I just went with the regular tint for a pure black look all the way around.

In Colorado your front can't be darker than 27% but any other windows can be as dark as you want. I had 15% on my Tundra and never had any problems. Usually they don't say much unless he really wants to be a stickler or you have 5%. With 15% you can still see in so they don't say much.

Louisiana is around the same, but their are exemptions. I am sure that your state police has a form you can give to your doctor for light sensitivity, if you know your doctor and ask him he will probably fill it out for you. Then it doesn't matter what the law says, just carry a copy of the form signed by your doctor in your car and no one can tell you anything.
