LMAO...Why didn't they test the Ram against...oh....I don't know......ITS COMPETITION?! Not another pick-up in the group...lol.
EDIT: I actually DO like the Hemi Ram. But doing a drop-n-run to an article showing nothing was humerous. I bet any vehicle could win its class if you put it up against vehicles not in their class.

What an odd review. Comparing vehicles across product categories with nothing in common except 4x4? Its like comparing a Corvette against a Passat because they both have automatic transmissions.
Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab
Hummer H3 SUV
Jeep Commander Limited
Nissan Xterra Off-Road V-6
Suzuki Grand Vitara
It is obvious they used a lottery ping pong ball device to pick their vehicles for this review. (What do you call that ping pong ball container anyway?)

Pleease you guys.... Understand this: magazine writers are journalists. That means they have good writing skills and printing presses. Because thay have big voices and means to distribute their opinions to the masses doesn't mean they are always right or that their word is gospel. If some group of magazine journalists from California wants to play in the desert, that is good for those that live in the California desert. How does that help some guy in the Mississippi mud? Go out and test drive everything you can find. The most important test meter is your Butt-O-Meter. Buy what makes you and Mama happy. Leave the California car mags to write about Lamborghini Gallardos, Maybachs or other stupid crap that rappers, oil sheiks, Jay Leno or NBA/NFL wastrels buy.
I don’t understand why a Dodge guy would post something like that on a Titan board; I wouldn’t go posting crap like this on a Ford/Dodge/Toyota/Chevy board.

lol...well he has 7 posts so I guess just wanting to stir up trouble...who knows...
WHAT! Dodge is notorious for transmission failures, and the "Hemi" isn't even a true hemispherical combustion engine, they just use the name because of past recognition.
They should just take the Mercedes automatic from the late 70's 300D, it is probably more bullet-proof and stronger than the one they have been putting in the Ram's lately.
Maybe they got Mercedes to teach them how to make a transmission, but I doubt it!
Well out of that group..I would pobably have taken the Ram also. As been discussed in a previous thread for the MT Truck of the Year...they are pretty much useless, and considering there really isn't anything new out they had to throw something together. We had our win out of the truck battle before in a publication...not really a big deal honestly
