My Engine Cover Caught On Fire!!

well i least the effect looks like it The license Hot Rod is my 1st project after playing witht the Airbrush, the Flames is my 1st attemp (sp?) after watching a How-to do flames video adn it's my 2nd project. For all the Artist and Airbrush Master out there, i need feedback plz. How can i improve the effect?

the last 3 pics of the flames shown are after i clear coated it, Now to see how long it will last in the engine

I'm not an airbrush Master but I have done my share or art by trade, mostly graphic. I remember watching an episode of Overhaulin and they had a guy who was "The Master" he started with the lighter color first and worked his way up. He also cut a mask out of cardboard and used it a lot to sharpen the image up with hard edges. click on the attached and go to "Firey Brit"
