Question gas gauge fix?

I'm approaching the end of my warranty. I've had the sending unit replaced 2 time and my gauge still doesn't work properly. I can drive 200 miles and I've got a little less than a 1/4 of a tank. I have to fill up at 250 miles b/c it's on empty.

Re: gas gauge fix?

When you fill it up does the needle go over F? Maybe your needle is just on to high.

I noticed that our needles do not have center notches, or anything to line up, maybe the needle just needs to go up.

Of course the light would have to be tied dir to the needle, I don't know if thats true.

Re: gas gauge fix?

My gas gauge is as accurate as any other vehicle I have ever own, but I don't trust any of them I know how many miles I can go on a tank of gas and I fill up when I hit that mileage no matter what my gauge reads. I guess I have been in aviation to long.

Re: gas gauge fix?

My old 04 was very bad, the gauge would never go past 3/4 of a tank when it was filled to the brim with gas. So I know what he's going through.

Just leave it with them or ANOTHER DEALER untill it works right and your happy.

Deep.
