2 wheelin' it!

Driving home last night in the rain, I was tempted by a thick muddy road. I gave in (because I'm a guy ) and went tearing down a newly cut muddy path were they're oign to be putting a road in the future. The 2WD did pretty darn well in the mud, just have to keep the momentum going, otherwise the mud-caked tires will just start spinning on the surface and won't push you anywhere. Got the truck good and muddy, then had to head back to the paved surfaces. Went back accross a ~1.5 ft deep creek with rushing water at 10 - 15 MPH and washed all the dang mud off!

Gay? I drive a Titan, not Ridgeline!

Actually went again on Friday afternoon and got into the thick a bit more. I went down a muddy narrow path, but got to a point where the path got completely submerged by water. If I had a 4WD, I'd brave it, but the 2WD didn't feel like trying out the tow hooks quite yet. Since it was such a narrow path, I had to back up ~1/4 mile to get to the point where my behemoth vehicle could turn around. Got pretty scared as I went through one section that was about 30 yds of sloppy mud with lots of deep puddles. As I layed into the gas, the rear started working its way toward a 3ft tall dirt barrier that parallels the narrow path. Luckily I didn't sideswipe it and escaped the mud with no scars to the nice Smoke paint.

I think when I repace this truck in 15 years and 250K miles, I'll get the 4X4diesel hybrid Titan that has 1 electric motor for each wheel.
