OK guys, I've searched around the boards and I can't seem to find this answer. How can tell if I have TruTrak? I've heard some people say that only one tire spins if you don't have it.
When I first got my truck I could break the tires loose whenever I wanted. I had a new rear end installed a while back and haven't really "needed" to roast the tires. At the Atlanta meet the other day I tried to make a cool exit by spinning the tires a bit.....but when I punched it nothing happened. (I just had the 2* timing advance done) What the crap!
Well today I took the truck out today and made sure I could burn out. Here's a picture of the result:

I know that when I do a burnout now, both tire marks are definately even in color and length, it will also fishtail like crazy on wet pavement. I would say by your picture you don't have a trutrac installed.

Unless you bought it....it's a $570 mod.....nothing the dealer does...you don't have it.
Also....sometimes you can rip both tires loose even with a open differential. There is even torque to each wheel until one begins to spin faster then the other due to less traction...then all the power is to the spinning wheel.

TruTrac is an aftermarket differential so...unless you installed one, you don't have it. Nissan uses an open differential in all its Titan models. You have rear wheel ABLS on your truck which uses the brakes to individually grab the spinning wheel...sending power to the opposite wheel. If you have a 4X4, you also have it up front. It's not as good as an actual limited slip rear end but...I find it to work fine in all but WOT starts. What you see in that picture is normal. As mentioned, both wheels get the same power until one starts to slip. Had you kept going, you'd eventually have gone to one black line.

If you look in the rear view mirror and have a $hit eatin grin on your face as you peel away sideways, you might have a Tru Trac, lol.

Yup, that's why in the picture one mark is lighter than the other.
