letting the wife drive my Titan

I had it a couple of weeks now and the wife wanted to drive it. So we switched cars for this week only. I already miss my Titan. But I'm driving her 04 Xterra, so things aren't all bad. I love that car too.

She loves the power in the Titan, and the color ( Red Brawn). I just hope she doesn't like it too much. I want my Titan back already!

Re: letting the wife drive my Titan

Your easy, Sam's wife had to wait 7 weeks to drive his, ONCE. My wife rarely dirves mine and I've had it 15 months. She loves driving it, hates parking it.

Re: letting the wife drive my Titan

Yea this has been a sore subject between the wife and I. I have a hard time letting her use it, and she has only driven it around 4 times so far. She thinks that I am wrong for not letting her take it without issue. I just worry about it getting damaged...at least when I have it I know where I park it....AWAY from everyone

Re: letting the wife drive my Titan

My fiancee drove it every day. She would drop me off and then head off to her own work...coworkers always thought it looked funny to see a 5'2" girl driving the Titan heh.

Re: letting the wife drive my Titan

My wife has driven the Titan once in the 4 months I had it. Now that I put the Flowmasters on she says it's too loud. She drives an 04 chevy tahoe with all options except navigation, she says my Titan drives smoother, I don't think so.

"I just hope she doesn't like it too much"... famous last words!.
I think the wife likes to drive the beast but won't give me the satisfaction of admitting it. She thinks I'm crazy for sleeping in my truck every night, what is wrong with her.

Re: letting the wife drive my Titan

My wife drove it once...in a empty parking lot. She is scer'd of the beast and shudders every time I mention that she should drive it. It doesn't stop her however from asking if we can take it every time we go out, she likes riding 'gun.

Re: letting the wife drive my Titan

Unfortunately my wife loves to drive it which is pretty rare. I know she drives it when I go out of town by the way the seat is pushed all of the way forward and the mirrors are pointing down.

Re: letting the wife drive my Titan

My wife drove mine when we test drove it, but she hasn't drove it since we bought it. She has a 02 quest with only 40,000 miles, so she doesn't have any reason to drive my titan.

Re: letting the wife drive my Titan

My wife loves the engine but doesn't like to drive it 1. she says that she feels like she is riding on top of her Cherokee. 2. She knows that I will be not very happy if she hurts it in any way.

Re: letting the wife drive my Titan

I let Mine drive her everyday, on both trucks my old 04 LE and this 05.

I bought the Titan mainly as a family truck, We had a baby back in 03 and needed a crew cab with lot of room and space for a car seat. We sold our Honda car last year because we never use it any more it was a two door with zero back seat room for anything.

I kept my 97 Ford f150 extended cab for my daily driver for work and things and she will only drive the titan, she hated driving my Ford and said if I bought another new one back then in 03 that she would not ever drive it. I do drive the Titan when we go out as a family or buy myself on the weekends, I got to get my time with her when I can.

Thats when I started looking at the Titans in 03, and odered one right away when you could back then Dec. of 03. The new Titan came in on Feb. 2 04 and I let her drive it the first day that we had it.

She just was in love with it, she said it was way better then any Ford and then thank me for buying it for her and the baby. To this day she drives it most everyday and I feel it's safe that she and my 3 year old are in this truck.
I got the model with all of the airbags for safty and took what ever else came with it to get them.

The first thing she said to me after her first time driving it was, Man I just love her!
SHE'S SO PERTTY LOOKING and MOCHO !

Deep.

Re: letting the wife drive my Titan

We have 2 kids, soon to be 3 and this is our only vehicle that will hold all those kids. I drive an old beat up 87 Chevy S10 Blazer to and from work most days, and the wife drives the Titan. When we go somewhere as a family, I DRIVE!!!

Re: letting the wife drive my Titan

me wife drives the truck on days when the weather here in Western MA is bad. I have the advantage of being able to work at home, so as long as I can re-arrange my travel schedule, I feel much safer with her driving on back roads and up and down mountains in the truck......

Hey if she scratches it or crashes it, SHe knows she will be "paying me back" for quite a while

You're screwed

I got to drive ours for 3 weeks (breaking it in) until I turned it over to the woman.

That was a sad sad day. I did feel bad for the honda sitting alone in the driveway though. After 3 weeks in the titan it felt like i was sliding on my buttox to work

Re: letting the wife drive my Titan

Bought my Titan at the end of Sept 05, and my wife has yet to even try and drive it. Everytime she's asks, I look at her and say "What are you thinking???" Of course she's afraid to back it out of the garage for fear that she will hit the mirrors. I guess I'm one lucky guy !!!!!!!!!!!!!
