blew a fuse...need help

I was trying to do the foglights with the taillight mod during the moment my wife killed my garage door and now I don't get the a/c controls to light up.

I replaced the foglight location as well as where I tried to connect the jumper. Where is this other fuse location?

It's very aggravating.

thanks

Move the dash light brightness control off then back on. My truck does this every now and then.

Re: blew a fuse...need help

If u blew a fuse, the fuse box is in the cab on the passeneger side and another under the hood on the passeneger side far back closer to the cab past the battery...its a black plastic box thing...

I believe that fuse that is of the AC controls is the illumination fuse...read on the cover

Re: blew a fuse...need help

I thought all the instruments were on the same fuse, that is why I told him to try adjusting the brightness control on the instrument lights.

Exactly why I don't think it is a fuse. Did you try to adjust the brightness control for the instrument panel? Sometimes my a/c controls won't light up and when I adjust my dash lights they come on.

Re: blew a fuse...need help

it was the fuse guys! It was left of the taillight fuse. I knew something was funny when my remote start would light up the a/c controls.

glad i figured it out. I took a nap, woke up just to work on this!

Re: blew a fuse...need help

Is there a new way of doing this mod or do you still have to run a seperate power and switch to the fog lights?

Re: blew a fuse...need help

you use a jumper at the fuse box to do it but the fogs won't turn off with the auto headlights on which I want to do sometimes. My parking lights don't flash when my remote start turns on now but that's not a big deal to me just curious why.
