Smile Just bought an 2006 Titan

Been reading the comments the last couple weeks and was between a F-150 and a Titan. After i drove the Titan i made up my mind, so last night we went and bought our first Titan. Of course the dealers do not have many on the lot, so it will be about a week for them to get it.
I got a 2006 Silver Titan 4x4 Crew Cab with Cloth & Popular Bench Pkg and Big Tow Pkg.
The one thing i really wanted was the off road pkg. but there was none availble in the midwest and beyond with the bench seat, which is crazy, so hopefully i won't miss that....All it really does is make it alittle sportier looking.
But we are very excited!! There is a 2250 rebate and got $6000 off the sticker total. I'm happy to join the crew here and ask crazy questions when needed!!

Re: Just bought an 2006 Titan

No Titan on the lot? I am not in middle much but on both East and West Coast there are at least 15 on every Nissan lot that I have seen. Where in middle China do you live?

Enjoy the truck!

Welcome to TT, if you got the big tow you basically have the same gear ratio as the off road. Only difference is the shocks and the wheels.

Re: Just bought an 2006 Titan

One more question to this thread-

To you that got a Titan Crew Cab without the off road pkg.
DO YOU EVER WISH YOU HAD IT OR ARE YOU HAPPY ENOUGH TO NOT NEED IT?
I guess second thoughts jitters...
thanks

I am happy with my 2004 model non-exploding rear end. I am not real sure as to whether it is the 4X4 or Off Road package that has the most failures, so no flaming. I am not affected nor are that many 2WD. I would truly love to get one of the TrueTrac differentials when they come out. The only regret I have on my truck is the "SingleTireFrier" disease that I share with all my brethren. By the way I have 36K and counting, wouldn't change a thing.

I don't mind not having the off-road but I do like those off-road rims.
I don't live anywhere close to where I would need to take the truck "off-road" to where the 4x4 wouldn't work. Maybe if I was on my uncle's property and we needed to hit the logging road but that's about it.
