The tip is chrome, why would I need stainless? As for looking differnet they are both resonated(packed with fiberglass insulation) so again a resonator is a resonator. I should last several years, at least as long as I keep the truck. And the fiberglass packing will eventually go south, just like glasspack mufflers do.
There is no myth in our design it's patented and carries a lifetime warranty...
Chrome is a plating and is a un-pure metal alloy so without proper care it will rust and pit. The 304 stainless we use is the purest form used in this industry and will not rust. Some other stainless tip may yellow but the Zoomers tip is double walled and open chambered and is constantly being cooled by the air it sucks in going down the road.
Here is how it works:
The Cannon Tip or (Venturi Extraction Tip) assists the incoming flow from the Muffler. The open chambered design with its ceramic and stainless mesh packing utilizes the fast moving air going under the vehicle. The inlet of the tip necks down resulting in a venturi effect creating a low pressure area in the tip, this helps to extract the gasses and at the same time cancel out the pulses that help create drone and cabin resonance. The effect increases with speed.
If the Hooker tip does that I'll be a monkeys uncle....As you can see there is some research and development that went into this tip design. No myth just engineering.

I'm certainly not going to argue that Zoomers is a differnet tip. Many people on here are using just the zoomers tip, so there not getting the tornado effect as the diagram reflects. So at that point the only real differnce is one is SS, the other is chrome plated, they both have packing, there both reduced cabin noise. The Zoomers tip also is air cooled (to help draw exhaust gasses out)has some good thought behind it. Right now I maybe the only one on the forum saying it works but when others try it, they will understand. As I said before Zoomers appears to be quality stuff, and many good reports are coming from users in the field, but 130 dollars is pretty darn high priced.

Zoomers offers their tip ala carte as an expensive fix for buying an unsatisfactory cat-back that you don't really like anyway. If you ever saw a Zoomers tip up close you'd see that they are practically a piece of jewelry. The simplest route is to just buy a Zoomers cat back, take it to your favorite welder and be done with it. Good fit. Good sound. Good quality. Done.

Why would I spend 600 dollars, when the Hooker tip corrected it for 40 dollars.

I ordered the Hooker tail pipe, but it is on back order for three weeks. It is not a big deal to wait on it for me.
I’m ordering the pipe to lower the noise in the cab, not for more power. I’m getting older and prefer to have a fast but Quite truck IF possible. I don’t think the z-cars are really that nosily are they?
I know some of you really like the noise the Titan makes. I understand I was there once.
Thanks
Yup, got them welded on. I have to say with a big grin on my face, that the drone is wayyyyy more tolerable. I would say that it is just a bit louder (and just a bit) than the exhaust. Also, now the drone seems to only occure at about 1700 rpm-1800rpm. It used to cove a bigger rpm range before the tips. I also changed out the straight pipes with some Dynomax bullets. I'll say it again, if you have the cash to spend, do it! The tips are beautiful! Another satisfied customer with the tips on my custom Flowmaster 70.
