Well it seems to be missing the triton V8 emblem from the fender .Maybe he's trying hide the fact its a V-8 truck?
and there is a differance between all three engines, just the weight differance alone will change things. the 5.4 is what we should be comparing our trucks too
Not to forget about the several years differance in model years that is aleast 2-3 older.
Com'on man get real...you know that was a rigged contest, with the tables being turned; if they (they being ford owners) had pulled a stunt like that ,everyone here would be crying foul.
Sorry you can defend it all you want its still what it is ..... a Lame video
So when will we see a real pull off?
Of course it's a lame video to you kid, the Ford lost. Does that make you any less of a person? NO!...lol...so relax. What's the big deal? If the Titan had lost...I'd have laughed and said "oh well, so what". Seems like a little growing up is in need.

Geez loo wheez....name calling & put downs...
what ? you can't come with anything to counter what I have said?
Really i had thought better of you....i just pointed out and stated what is wrong with that Video and the whole set-up, Sorry if that offends you or anyone eles but the video says it all.
and yes it matters, if your gonna do something DO IT RIGHT!!!
not half -assed
The Ford boards ripped that vid to pieces, what did we have to gain from that? Notta nothin zip...except make us look like fools. The only thing that vid accomplished was appeasing some over inflated ego's.
Tell me why it was not done right in the first place? why not use two 04's or 05's in the first place ? anyone can do what he did and get the same results.
thats whats got me riled.
I'll say it again....if your gonna do something DO IT RIGHT!!!

Not getting into the middle of your 'over inflated ego argument' here, but if you read the first post, it says one person owns or owned both trucks. And that's the reason that year Ford was used.

Great Video!! Traction, Torque and weight in that order controls the tug of war. The Titan had it all!!
It has nothing to do with year of production or number of doors.
It is a seven year old V6. Actually a '97. That's eight or nine years old, depending on when it was manufactured.
We should be proud of our trucks, but let's not embarass ourselves by posting this on other boards or crowing too much. The Ford guys know their trucks and they will eat us alive with this. Probably already are.

how do you figure its a v6?.........i got a friend that has a ford that looks identical.........but he has the 5.4 and no badges.......an no...it didn't come with the badges either

Sorry the post flew over your head but nobody called anyone names or put anyone down. The fact is...you're information is incorrect. The Ford used is a V8, read what the owner (of both trucks) wrote. And, in case you didn't get what I said before, who cares? It's a test of egos...nothing else. It means nothing. So step off your inferiority podium. The olympics are over. You got gold.

I thought it was pretty cool. My '97 Ferd didn't come with any badges, "Badgers, we don't need no stinking Badgers"!! It was a guy having fun. I don't think anyone is going to take this and be like, "Dude, the Titan kicks Ferd's a**". You guys sound like a bunch of women. Pull the tampons out and go drink a beer.

This is the most intelligent thing written...... and it took four pages. The thing that makes me laugh the most about the Ford guys is their blind devotion to their trucks.... it seems that Titan owners are starting to follow their example...
obviously his statement was wrong though, if ford guys think that is a v6 because it doesn't have a badge then the don't know there own damn trucks haha.....so in conclusion
yes, it was a good video to watch
yes, if the titan would have been spinning i think the ford would have pulled him if he could have gotten traction
no, i don't think the titan is the be all end all of trucks, truth be told i would take a f-250 diesel over my titan right now.......but they want to damn much for them
I'd love to see a video of a Titan dragging around something like a Hummer......just for sh!ts and giggles. The fireworks from Hummer owners would be well worth it! You know those have to be a bunch of insecure folks....lol.

find me a hummer and i'll hook up to it haha hell for that matter find me an f150 04 with the 5.4 and i'll hook up to it................acutally now that i think about it my wifes dad has an 04 f150...........but i don't think he'll hook it up haha

X2
Some people on here hate getting facts pointed out to them, On the engine I could be wrong cause i cant see under the hood, I'll give that much but the rest of the video is a lame one.
We were called out to a challege last year and all you heard was a bunch of excuses, not one member stepped-up, The challege was a 04/05 Ford vs a 04/05 Titan equally equipped which to those who dont what that means, two trucks of the same year, equipped the same, 5.4 vs 5.6 no mods etc etc a member from here and a member from ford-trucks.com, each can do there own video tapping.
read the thread it makes for some good reading.....
Heres the thread link & the first post from one of our own members
The guys over at the Ford-Trucks Forum (Ford Truck Enthusiasts) are wanting someone with a 4x4 Titan in the Kansas City area to go to their get-together and hook up receiver hitch to receiver hitch with a stock new F-150 and see who can pull who around.
Please don't go over there and troll or get in a flame war, but I think this is a fair chance to see what the trucks can do, if the playing field is level and they don't bring in a ringer.
The driver does need to have some experience, as driver skill and traction are probably going to be just as important as low end torque.
