Auxilliary Jack

Hello everyone. I have a question about the auxilliary jack for the audio system. I usually plug my portable DVD player in to this jack when I travel with my kids. Unfortuneately, the sound only comes out of the left side speakers (both front and rear). I read the vehicle manual and it mentions that it is an 'analog' jack. Is this the reason why it only utilizes one side? Just curious, thought I would check with you guys before I had the dealer check it out. Thanks.

Re: Auxilliary Jack

buy a new audio cable and try that
There is either something wrong with it or the jack.
Mine plays my XM unit in Stereo with a stereo 1/8" plug

Re: Auxilliary Jack

Yes make sure it's a stereo cable and not a mono cable. Also is your DVD player output stereo or mono.

Re: Auxilliary Jack

I'll check it out, it might just be the cable. Thanks.

Re: Auxilliary Jack

This week end while sitting in a fast food parking lot while having
some dinner I hooked up my Sony PSP's audio output to the Aux Jack.
Lol instant theater sound. It is great you can utilize so many devices with the Aux jack. Mp3 , Dvd, etc anything with an Audio out.
