Isn't the Titan rear end a Dana 44, that was designed with Nissan collaboration for the Titan exclusively?
If Dana goes belly-up.........does this mean Nissan might be looking somewhere else for future Titan rear-ends?
Actually this could be a good thing, couldn't it?
Yes it's a Dana 44 but because of a collaboration with Nissan to redesign certain parts of it, it's only used by Nissan. As long as they don't go back to their old, useless LSD rear end, they can use anyone.

Bankruptcy doesn't mean they are closing their door. They could be restructuring their debt and the company in general. I'm sure we'll see them for many years to come.
They're going to send most of their work to Mexico. They stated that earlier in the year. Just another way to break the unions.

In the not too distant future the companies in this country will realize the mistake they made with outsourcing. It's already too late, they just haven't caught on yet. We need to focus on us the US citizens and the heck with the global economy. Do you care if the people in India or China are at work while our neighbors are unemployed?
Think about this. If the other countries boycotted the US we wouldn't have anymore TV's, stereos, cell phones, etc because we don't make anything here anymore.

You have two choices in life:
You can stay single and be miserable,
or get married and wish you were dead.

I agree and disagree. If the government gave the tax breaks they used to give large businesses, they would have at least SOME incentive to stay in the states. They don't. Yes, it's detrimental to the US economy but....they don't care. They can get cheaper labor elsewhere. Minimum wage is too high here compared to what they can outsource. It's unfortunate but, it can't be had both ways. Outsourcing, though hurtful to our economy, makes perfectly sound business sense.

There is enough blame to go around for everyone. You can blame the government, but let's not forget the large businesses themselves, out to make the largest profits they can. Then you get down to the workforce. Unions, for lack of a better term, are a dying breed. For example, for years, contracts were negotiated between management and labor. Labor did not get what they want, they go on strike. Both sides work, give a little, and labor gets perks, like insurances paid on them and family, more money, less work. Management gets to continue making large profits, for x years until time to renegotiate.
Government cannot be held accountable by itself. It does not matter which person is President, each presidency since the 70s have had troubles with economy.
Like it or not, we are in a global economy, as evidenced by outsourcing not only manufacturing, but also management of our ports.
Until the American people use the power of the Vote, and help clean up corruption and corporate greed, economies will continue to develop everywhere else in the world. Except here.

No doubt there will be some job out-sourcing, but why not Mexico instead of China or whom ever? Creating more jobs in Mexico might help reduce illegal immagration which is a big expense for everyone.
