Zoomers Myth Busted!!!!

I've heard a lot of poistive feedback about the Zoomers tip when it comes to reducing cabin noise, but for 130 bucks? I started looking in to this resonated tip thing and found Hooker Headers makes one also and can be purchased for $35.95(shipping included), and it works and it works good, it's like having differnet truck. So if your interested in getting rid of cabin noise they can be purchased at Summit Racing, Zoomers I got to admit you guy are making some serious cash but your busted!

I don't recall resonated tips being any secret either, but you don't have to pay 130 buck to stop cabin noise.

Actually, that's only in the muffler.

Re: Zoomers Myth Busted!!!!

Man. I paid 130+installation for my Zoomers. I like it a lot. Now I know there are other alternative out there. It makes me think twice.

Re: Zoomers Myth Busted!!!!

Don't ever think twice about mods that you installed on your truck. It'll drive you crazy! What's done is done. It could be a lot worse, out thousands opposed to $130. Heck, I just read this post and just bought two tips waiting to be installed. Anybody have any input on how the Zoomers will stack up against other resonator tips? I see them for even cheaper at Checkers. I'd like to believe that the R&D put into the Zoomers tips will make a bigger difference. But, they sure look purdy!

According to many members the Zooomers tip works as advertised and that good, I tried to get Zoomers off the price(didn't happen) so as I studied resonators I came to realize there not much differnce in any of them so I took the chance on the cheaper one, and the gamble paid off. If it hadn't worked I would have changed the muffler. But now the drones gone and I have a nice chromed 3.5 inch tip.

Hi, I currently have a Bank catback, will it help me if I install this hooker tip? What model did you get? I guess it ultimately depends on what the inlet pipe diameter of the bank is, because i want it to be a direct weld on..

Re: Zoomers Myth Busted!!!!

I think the hooker part # HOK-22011HKR will work best for me, because it has a 3 inch inlet pipe size, which is the size of my banks power, and also have a slight larger tip outlet size at 4".

What do you guys think about that?

Re: Zoomers Myth Busted!!!!

be careful, you may get what you pay for, the hooker is much cheaper quality, does not look as pretty, the zoomers is heavy guage stainless steel.

Thumbs down Re: Zoomers Myth Busted!!!!

You always get what you pay for.

I've had a hooker before and it lasted about 6 months, chipped, scratched and interior noise go progressively worse. Huge piece of garbage.

It's like going to Wally World and buying a $10 pair of running shoes and expecting them to compare to a set of Air Jordan's.

Buy quality once instead of junk.
