Im just about to hit 15K on my titan and was wondering when i should change the differential oil, and the transfer case oil, tranny oil, and is there anything else i should do. Any info would be great
Check the recommended services for 15,000 miles in your owner's manual. Depending on your driving habits, it may just be an oil change/tire rotation...or you could be due for the 15,000 mile service. It's all spelled out in the owner's manual.

What in God's good name are you talking about? It's all spelled out in the owners manual? This is the worst owners manual I have ever seen when it comes to maintenence and when to change fluids. It also says refer to the Service Manual.. Like the truck comes with one of those! Here is verbatum in chapter 8 of the owners manual:
"Your new NISSAN has been designed to have minimum maintenance requirements with longer service intervals to save you both time and money. However, some day-to-day and regular maintenance is essential to maintain your NISSAN's good mechanical condition, as well as its emission and engine performance.
It is the owner's responsibility to make sure that the scheduled maintenance, as well as general maintenance, is performed. As the vehicle owner, you are the only one who can ensure that your vehicle receives proper maintenance. You are a vital link in the maintenance chain.
Scheduled maintenance
For your convenience, both required and optional scheduled maintenance items are described and listed in your NISSAN Service and Maintenance
Guide. You must refer to that guide to ensure that necessary maintenance is performed on your NISSAN at regular intervals."

Chill out, man. The only thing I was saying is that the documentation which comes with your Titan tells you what you should do at what mileage intervals. You're right, the Nissan service and maintenance guide is what you need to referred to for scheduled maintenance. I didn't ever say that the thing would actually tell you how to perform the service yourself. If that's what you want, pick up a service manual on ebay.com. That's what I did.

ok you said refer to the owners manual.. which says refer to the service manual.. what will the service manual says? "refer to corporate nissan manual" i did not expect to go on a wild goose chase.
but i do know this.. the service will vary depending on driving conditions, if you drive a lot fwy and in mild climate.. i am sure your intervals will be further. would be nice if someone put up those numbers in this post instead of saying "refer to the owner's manual"

Not sure which year you have, but I will toss a couple of pesos into your hat here. The earlier trucks had an issue with p!sspoor fluid in the rear end. Nissan required it be changed out to a 75W140 full synthetic. My choice was Mobil1. Make your own call here. Thanny fluid doesn't get changed. It gets washed at like 36K miles IF I remember correctly. It has been a matter of about 12 months since I looked at the Holy Trinity of Nissan booklets that came with the truck. I am sure that a quick reference there will get you up to speed. Oil Changes and Tire rotations are condition dependent. What oil do you use, how hard do you drive? These really do matter. I use Mobile1 5W30 and get the oil filter and tires done every 5K miles. On the 15K mile mark I get all new oil. To Each his own.

I believe I got a separate booklet that is specifically for the service... Sorry, I don't want to run out in the rain right now to be sure.... What I can tell you is that the info is pretty well spelled out as to when stuff needs to be done. The blurb above is very vague but there is better info somewhere in the stuff that comes with the truck (Or at least what came with mine). They give you 2 or 3 options based on your driving habits and temp/road conditions. That is likely where the confusion is coming from. I think for the mainstream driving that most people fit into the diff fluid gets done @ 30K.... as mentioned, a lot of people have done it sooner for various reasons. Personally, I have a 100K warranty and will sell the truck before then so all I really care about is staying in the good graces with the warranty people.
It is called the service and maintenance guide and it should be in with your owners manual, it says to inspect differential oil, not change the oil. replace engine oil and filter, replace in-cabin microfilter, rotate tires, the the rest is just inspection automatic tranmission fluid, axle & suspension parts, brake lines & cables, brake pads, rotors, drums, and linings, cruise control vacuum hoses, differential oil, drive shaft boots, exhaust system, front suspension ball joints, propeller shaft (4w) steering gear and linkage, steering linkageball joints, and transfer case oil. That is for scedule 1, schedule 2 had even less.
On schedule 1 & 2 maintanence I didn't see where it ever says to change the differential fluid. On the premium maintanence it changes all the fluids every 30k miles. Hope this helps.
I with Bestatchess, change everything immediately! I changed out both diff. at 1000 miles, along with the engine oil and the tranny and transfer case. I have changed the diff oil 3 times in 14k miles( mainly because of Nissan changing the specs), I am probably a little anal about changing the fluids, but I know there are a lot of people like me on this board.
