My parents and I just came back from Nissan of Serramonte and could close a deal for a 2006 Titan LE 4x4 Crew Cab with Navigation and step rails...The best price they gave me was $36,000 OTD with 2.0% financing or $34,000 OTD with 6.9% my parents have great credit...My parents offered $34,000 OTD with 3.9%.....I didn't do much research on the car besides knowing the invoice...Now I'm asking you guys if the dealership gave me a fair price? Any input would be appreciated...Thanks

seems about right to me based on what I have read on here and looked at in person while at the dealer. Good Luck and get that Titan!!!
Depends on your options. With $2250 cash back and the current inventory levels on the Titan, I think you might be able to do a little better. According to Edmunds, a 2006 with navagation, DVD, sunroof, and towing package is invoiced at $37,103 ($780 for the sunroof and $1258 for the DVD) and street price of $37961. Without those two options, that will bring you to the $35,000 mark.
Also work out the math. One would think that borrowing at lets say 4% would be better than at 5%. But factor in the cash back which reduces the amount of the loan, and it may work out better to take the cash and borrow at a higher rate.
I would suggest getting some quotes online as well before buying.

i agree, sounds about right. remember in the otd price theres about 2,000 in taxes, tag, and title. the dealer does not get that. also if your parents qualify for the lower rate dont let the dealer get you on that 6.9. i used to work at a dealer and when a person qualifies for a low rate the finance guy can bump the rate and make a ton of money at the end.......i hated that and quite working after i seen a guy gualify for a credut union rate of 4% and they put him through gmac@ 6.9. they collected everything over the 4% he qualified for. also always go through a credit union if possible because they will not allow the customer to get thier rate bumped! also dont buy that stupid clear coat or undercoating or etching.....its a ripoff. aLSO THE EX WARRANTY they will try to make about 500 off that. tell them you want it a cost and make him show you the cost....or do the 36 otd @ 2% and tell them you want the extended warranty included and its a deal......i bet they do it!!! good luck!

thanks for the help guys .....I will probably offer them $35k otd with low financing and see how it goes from there...I'm just waiting on them to call me back...I have since emailed other dealerships so I can see if I can get a better deal...The Titan we test drove had over 100 miles on it and I asked them if we would be able to get a new one and they said it might take a couple of months since a LE crew cab with navi was so hard to find, is this true or were they just trying to pass this high mileage car to us?

You could get your financing through capital one auto financing, or something like that with a low apr. Then when you walk in to the dealer you have a check to give them for the full amount of the vehicle. That way you don't have to give up one to get the other.
That is a bit high, as optioned out the door you should be at 33k and also have the 100k mile super whiz bang gold warranty in there as well. Call two other dealerships, don't speak to a salesman- ask for the sales manager. Tell the SM you are getting played around with at ???? dealership and you want to know what he can do for you on your truck (give him all the specifics). Then call the second one and do the same thing, whoever comes back lowest have them fax confirmation. Look over the invoice and you should be a little under 33k with 2% financing. Don't even mention financing, they will try to hang you here, get the price right and if they mention financing tell them you are paying cash so financing is of no concern. Then when the price is fine, throw the financing on them and the sales manager will move the vehicle to be done with it. Happy hunting.

The invoice on the exact car they have was $32,778 but that is AFTER rebate...the rebate states that you can either have 2% financing for 3 years or $2250 cash back...are you saying i should ask for 33k otd because I asked for 34k and they let us walk

Yes I am, they are playing a bit of hardball with you, like I said express your concerns to another dealerships Sales Manager. He knows you are a buyer and will do his best to steal your business and move a vehicle.
right now if I have calculated right, it looks like we're getting $2,278 below invoice...it sure sounds like a good deal right?.....
before taxes the car would be $32,700 (invoice of $34,978)+10% in tax, title etc here in CA...it would come out to $36,000...
would you guys jump on this deal even though the car has 100 miles on it???
Again the car is a 2006 Silver Titan LE Crew Cab 4x4 with Navigation and Step Rails as the only 2 options
Oh and I got a call from another dealership who said they could not understand how I was getting the 36k otd price and that the best they could do was 38k...my question is: Do dealerships work together to make you think that you are getting a great price??? I've seen shadier things happen....

I would not worry about the 100 miles, but if it bothers you have them throw in a gold preffered warranty to atleast 60k miles. That is what I had them do. It sounds like a good deal to me, jump on it.
