Question Question about squeaking shackles..need HELP!!

I have a set of "modified" drop shackles on my 04 Titan and have had some issues since the install. The main prob is a persistent squeaking/groaning coming from these things. Now, I have had them greased (they have "zerts") and tightened since then which seemed to help. But, alas, it all started again about a week later (could be the recent 30 degree cold front). My question is this. Assuming that these bolts have loosened up again, how can I keep them on tight and solid? Ive heard that new installs like this, particularly suspension parts, may need to be tightened several times before things "settle". Is this true? Also, what about using thread locker of some type, maybe LocTite? If I went this route, would I be able to get the bolts off, with some effort, later on if need be? Any advice is appreciated, cuz Im having this checked out in a few days. Thanks.

Re: Question about squeaking shackles..need HELP!!

You may have them to tight. The spring and the shackle have to be able to move. If you have them to tight the will bind up and squeak. Put some locktite on the bolts but don't tighten then so much.
