Question Is the LT Tonneau the ONLY flat aluminum tonneau

LT Tonneau

http://www.ltsportcover.com

I have been searching and searching on here and I’m either hallucinating or just can’t find the thread I’m looking for. I could swear there was another all aluminum tonneau cover that I have seen posted here with pictures. The one I remember was just black and it was a lower price point because the nearly $1,200 for an LT is beyond my price range.

I have found these but there are not what I remember seeing, as I recall I has seen something just like the LT, but cheaper.
CheckMate FX, really not sure about this one at less than $400, anybody own one?
http://www.checkerpro.com/hardcovers.html

Mountain Top, nice when seen in all black, but also in the $1,000+ range
http://www.mounttop.com/

I had always thought I was getting an Undercover/VersaCover, but they have been yanking my chain for over a year regarding when they were coming out with one for the King Cab and that’s BS. The factory rep Mark Kidder has finally just completely pissed me off with his attitude an inability to be honest.

To date the best option I have found is the Leer 700 for $825 - $40 on-line coupon = $785. I can get the A.R.E. for basically the same price but the Leer has two advantages for me. 1- the design looks better as the top shape flows perfectly into the flare on our tailgate. 2- Having bought and owned four A.R.E. caps over the years I’m thinking it is time for a change because I’m really tired of their shrinking seals and inability to keep my bed dry, even after repeated installations.

Sorry so long, but any help would be appreciated. I like the slab of aluminum because it will be easier for me to take on an off alone and I just don’t want to deal with the perfect quality paint on the fiberglass top because on my truck it is likely to get rather scratched up.

Well I found this one.

Let me search here for some Penda XT pictures because their web site is not very strong. They do indicate they have this for the King Cab.

Re: Is the LT Tonneau the ONLY flat aluminum tonneau

Sorry about that. Just go to Active Topics and scroll down until you see "Official Lazer Lite Group Buy!!!"

Read the entire thread. They cannot post the price due to agreements with their resellers, but you do the math and I think you will see it is a deal.

There is only one Lazer Lite model that I'm aware of.

I think the LT cover is a lazerlite that is painted to match.

I agree, and as I was going to go black, the fact that the Lazer Lite is black powdercoat is way better, way more durable.

I'm so excited, this almost makes getting screwed by Undercover by Versacover worth while.
