Fuse Question

Okay, so I was driving to school today and I believe a fuse burnt out for my radio. The radio was changing songs then the next song started and the radio just died, it still has the clock and was glowing orange but it won't turn on to play music, so when you push the volume control knob in it won't turn on, I have a CORDS radio I believe. I am pretty sure it's a fuse. Does anyone know which fuses to check, I don't want to take it to the dealer just for them to replace a damn fuse. Not cause I don't like the dealer but because it's cheaper for me to go to the auto parts next door to my house and buy the damn fuse then to drive 20miles to the damn dealer and have them change it, which will probably take 30min for them just to figure out it's a fuse.

Thanks in Advance,
Zack

No idea what a CORDS radio is but, my guess would be that if it were a fuse, the orange panal on the radio wouldn't be lit. Try the dealer.

Re: Fuse Question

It was a fuse, I did a little hunting last night for the problem and I found that there is a fuse for the clock that is in the fuse box next to the glove compartment, and then that fuse was fine. So I went to the fuse box that is under the hood. I found another fuse that was for Audio, so I pulled it and the fuse was burnt out, so I replaced it, now my radio works fine. It was fuse #31 that was burnt out, and I found fuse #4 runs the clock. It's sort of wierd that they'd be on seperate fuses, but I guess it's good cause I didn't have to reset my time.

thanks for the info.

Look under the hood or to the right of the glove box.
