Re: Aries Oval Step Rail

Front 2 bracket tabs facing backwards, back bracket facing forwards:
Driver and passenger side should be the same.
They are very easy to mix up. (took me three times to get driver side)
This is the best I could do with pics:

Yes, I had the exact same problem on the same side. Aries ended up sending me a driver side bracket for the passenger side. Of course it had to be the very last bracket I was installing too The bolts would not line up with the holes so finally I realized that I had been sent one wrong bracket. Aries sent me a new one no questions asked. Took a week though.

Re: Aries Oval Step Rail

I tried 3 different sets of Aries and got 3 damaged sets that I had to send back. I finally told them I didn't want a fouth set. And it is true, It is Aries that is at fault not the company you order from. Steps ship from Aries Warehouse. Maybe Xcessary.com should be more selective who the do business with because the bad rep will rub off on them since they are the contact company. Eddie

Re: Aries Oval Step Rail

Has anyone else had any better luck with the Aries oval step bars? Seems like nothing but bad luck! I've been trying to figure out who has a good oval step, Nissan only offers painted ones (I think), Westin wants me to spend $699 + $200 for a mounting kit + tax "give me a break" screw the Canadians again.

I just put a set of the texas titan chrome steps on my 05 KC. The following
site has them for $448 with free shipping. I showed my local Nissan dealer parts
guy what I could get them for on the web, and he matched the price. That
way I didn't have to worry about the hassle of shipping them back if something
was wrong. The fit was excellent and took 1/2 hour to install.

Re: Aries Oval Step Rail

Is there a reason to go with after market steps rather than factory steps other than looks?

Better price and quality. You can get 100% stainless steel steps for $270.00 aftermarket
