Question ???

I have read all the posts about using synthetic oil, pros & cons. I have an 04 "LE" 4x4 and have changed from factory pensoil (dealer uses pensoil) to Mobil One at 9500 miles.

Question ?
Once I to change to synthetic oil, can I go back to factory/regular oil ???????
I now have 12000 miles. "Rumor control" states that once you change to synthetic, you can't go back. ?

P.S. My Titan still burns alot of fuel, so synthetic oil made no difference.

Re: Question ???

No problem, you can switch back or you could mix the engine doesn't know the difference.

Re: Question ???

I've been told that if you back to dino oil, the seals tend to start leaking.
There has to be an authority to ask if it's true.

Re: Question ???

I don't believe that, maybe 20 years ago. But todays engine seals should be fine. If a engine didn't leak switching form dino to synthetic, then why should it lead when switching back? It will be fine.
