Spare Tire Lock Installation Question

Hey guys/girls,
I bought a used Nissan OEM spare tire lock off of a guy and it did not come with instructions. I found some instructions on courtesyparts.com but they were too blurry. Can anybody walk me through a step by step or some advice?

I put one on, I think it went something like this: lower spare tire, take off the funnel piece that guides the lowering rod into engagement with the lowering winch shaft, engage the lock piece with the lowering winch shaft, reassemble, test, reinstall spare tire. I secured the key to the lowering rod with epoxy so I wouldn't lose it. I have a non-OEM bottle jack, so I don't use the rod in connection with the factory jack.
