Auto Headlight Sensitivity

I searched for this and could not find anything...

Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the auto headlights on a non-navigation model? I feel like they are way too sensitive and cycle on and off a lot. I am thinking of adding HID lights, and I don't think it is that good to have them go on and off a lot, but I want to continue to use the auto function.

Is this something my dealership may be able to adjust if I cannot?

Thanks for the input.

Re: Auto Headlight Sensitivity

What I did in my last car was cut out a small 2"x4" peice of window tint and put it over that part of the window.

If I had any more tint lying around I would do that again. I hate when its overcast and raining and they don't auto on.

I think the dealer can set it for you. Might be worth it to ask.

In Illinois they made a law that says when you turn your wipers on, your headlights must be turned on. Now if they could connect those two, I would be real happy.
