Spare question

Does anyone know if the spare has the air pressure sensor in it? And could I use it to permanently replace one of my wheels?

Yes you can use it as a permenant wheel but you have to have the sensor moved from the tire you're replacing to the spare......the spare doesn't have one.

I don't see why not. I believe the sensor is attatched to the valve and you'd just have to use a deep socket to remove it and swap it.

Re: Spare question

I believe you have to unscrew the nut on the valve stem and push the sensor into the tire. Break the bead on the rim/tire and retrieve the sensor.

Re: Spare question

if you are looking for a sensor I have a few extras. Basically you have to break the wheel down and it completely replaces the valve. Any tire shop could do it.

Re: Spare question

What a PITA! You have to actually remove the tire to replace it? I just thought it was a skinny thing that would fit right through the valve stem hole. Hope it never goes bad!

No, you don't have to remove the tire. Just break the bead and you can get it out. (like was mentioned above)
